What can I overlay?

Any MP4 or WebM clip, and every template you generate on VideoEffects. Templates come with a transparent version, so lower thirds, logo reveals, subscribe buttons and text animations sit on your footage with nothing around them.

How do I overlay a template I generated?

Open the order and press "Overlay on your video". The template loads here automatically. Then drop the video it should go on.

Can I use my own transparent video?

Yes, as a stacked alpha MP4, the picture on top and its alpha mask in grayscale below. Turn on "Transparent" after dropping it. A plain clip is placed as a normal picture-in-picture.

What happens to the sound?

Your video keeps its audio. If the overlay has sound, choose your video, the overlay, or both mixed together.

Do you upload my video?

No. The tool runs entirely in your browser. Your file stays on your device. Only the template you generated is fetched from our servers.

Which browsers are supported?

Chrome, Edge and Safari 17 or newer on desktop and Android. Firefox does not support the video APIs the tool needs yet.
