Which speed makes a good timelapse?

8x turns a ten minute recording into 75 seconds and still reads as motion. 16x suits slow scenes such as clouds or a sunset. For faster subjects, 4x keeps things watchable.

What happens to the sound?

The sound speeds up with the picture and keeps its natural pitch by default. At 8x it turns into a short rush of ambient noise, so most people mute it afterwards or add music in the editor.

Will it look smooth?

Yes. The output keeps the original frame rate and picks frames evenly from the source, so motion stays fluid instead of stuttering.

Do you upload my video?

No. The tool runs entirely in your browser. Your recording stays on your device.
