What is the WhatsApp video size limit?

WhatsApp allows about 16 MB for a video sent as media, and much more when sent as a document. The tool starts at 16 MB so the clip plays inline in the chat. Limits change over time, so check the app if a send fails.

Will the video look worse?

A short clip fits 16 MB with little visible loss. A long recording needs a low bitrate, and the tool warns when the picture will show artefacts. Lowering the resolution to 720p helps in that case.

Is there a way to send a bigger file?

Send it as a document instead of a video. WhatsApp does not compress documents, but the recipient has to download it before playing. For a clip that plays inline, compress it here first.
